The Commonwealth Armada traces its origin to Human and Elven efforts to create naval forces aimed at taking care of increasing piracy and worrying signs of an Imperial navy.
They were given a great deal of autonomy in order to face challenges in a manner and with an efficiency normal human bureaucracy would not permit.
With increased self-governance, the Armada gradually grow into its own faction of the Commonwealth and now controls its own seafaring dominions.
