Northmen, Northfolk, or Norrdun, the Norse have previously rarely been seen south of the Icewind Strait other than to trade pelts and fish for gold.
With the emergence of the Empire, the Norse have joined the Commonwealth. They are especially impressed by the Armada and trained with Armada shipbuilders to improve the Norse Longships.
Due to the rough terrain, cold environment, and stormy seas separating them from the mainland, not many visit the Norse homelands. Those who have visited for trade or negotiations have been treated like old friends.
Nearly all Norse are fighters of some capacity. All who enlist start their duty as a type of guard called huskarl before becoming a fully fledged Warrior. Warriors who suffer a heroic death are remembered as champions. These champions can be recalled to service as legendary fighters called Homeguards and Einherjar.
