The Lux are the children of the Suns, whose rays they collect.
Their physical appearance is difficult to describe. Those who have been able to gaze upon their bright shine long enough describe them as having a human or elven outline set against an aura of yellow-ish white light. Some believe they are elves — the legendary sun elves — transcended into higher beings. Others say they are not of this world at all. The Lux themselves do not look back, only focusing on ascension into the light.
The backbone of their society are the hardworking shimmerlings. Once they take the step towards ascension into a higher being, the process is irreversible.
