A long tradition of peace, trade, and cooperation had long existed between Humans, Gnomes, Dwargs, and Wood Elves, with most nearby factions and people also enjoying friendly relations with them. This spirit of cooperation led to the Commonwealth being stablished, when the Orcish Empire arose and achieved previously unimaginable territorial gains.
Those who were not yet annexed by the Empire had only two choices: fight for independence, or join the Commonwealth and fight for the fall of the Empire.
