Round 11 Changes

Gameplay

  • Various UI changes. Military and Improvement page overhauled to save space. Some other smaller stuff. Some screenshots below.
  • No land generation for subsequent hits on the same target within 3 hours.
  • Land DP raised from 1.5x to 10x. This will prevent massive OOP farming when someone forgets to train, which can significantly impact a round (like in Round 10).
  • In-realm invasions and theft removed. The Empress has a tighter grip on the Empire now.
  • Late-joiner bonus increased to 0.50% per hour late up to max +100%, from 0.35% per hour max +50%.
  • Research Points (RP) replaced by Experience Points (XP).
  • XP is earned through invading (20 XP per acre), exploring (10 XP per acre), and from prestige (every 1 prestige = 1 XP/tick).
  • Minimum tech cost raised to 10,000 XP.
  • Tech costs go up 10% for every level. The minimum cost is as follows: Level 1: 10,000 XP, Level 2: 11,000 XP, Level 3: 12,000 XP
  • Schools removed. Bye, bye.
  • Diamond Mines moved to mountains.
  • Caverns removed. Factions with cavern as home land type have been moved to other land types.

  • Changed definition of successful attack (“victory”) to only count hits over 75%. In-realm invasions do not count.
  • Victories displayed on Status page and in Clear Sights.
  • Defender prestige losses on attacks reduced by 50% (to 2.125% from 4.25%).
  • Draft rate can now be set to 100%. Was fixed in backend a while back but a frontend bug was making it difficult/hard to set.
  • Construction cost reduced by 25%. (Raw cost is multiplied by 0.75)
  • Construction cost on discounted acres reduced to 25% from 50%.
  • Starting platinum and lumber reduced by 25%.

Factions and Units

  • Void gets a building: Ziggurat, houses 20, produces 10 mana/tick, and provides 4 raw DP. Starts with 500 Ziggurats. Costs mana to build. Same cost formula as lumber.
  • Myconid gets a building: Mycelia, houses 10 and produces 4 food/tick. Starts with 1,000 Mycelia. Costs food to build. Same cost formula as lumber.
  • Growth gets a building: Tissue, houses 120 and produces 4 food/tick. Starts with 1,000 Tissues. Costs food to build. Same cost formula as lumber.
  • Void, Growth, and Myconid extra barren housing removed.
  • Growth Cyst food production lowered to 1 food/tick from 1.5 food/tick.
  • Growth Cells (peasants) produce 0.5 food/tick.
  • Growth Abscess changed to 0.2 spy and wiz, from 0.1.
  • Growth Blister changed to 0.15 spy and wiz, from 0.05. 
  • Growth spec unit costs increased by 10 food and elites by 20 food.
  • Dwarf reinstated:
    • Double imp points from ore.
    • Miner produces 2 ore/tick.
    • Warrior 8/3 for 1,000p, 200r.
    • Cleric 4/6, counts as 1/3 wizard.
  • Legion population bonus lowered to +20% from +40% and extra barracks housing lowered from +36 from +64 (can become +43.5 with new techs).
  • Legion home land type changed from plains to hills.
  • Black Orc and Orc get +100% prestige gains, +10% population, and +24 barracks housing.
  • Black Orc Warboss changed from -33% casualties to the Reduce Combat Losses perk. This fits better thematically, as they pass are a master-pairing unit and they help their subordinates suffer fewer losses.
  • Orc Bone Breaker changed to 3/4, +0.5 OP per Victory, max +5 (at 10 Victories, it’s an 8/4 unit).
  • Undead pop bonus changed to +30% from +20%.
  • Halfling Master Thieve changed to 3/6 from 3/5, and a slight cost increase.
  • Halfling spy strength bonus removed.
  • Lycanthrope ore costs removed. Garou lowered to 900p.
  • Lizardfolk max pop bonus, pop growth bonus, and spy strength bonuses removed.
  • Sylvan and Wood Elf spells exchanged with each other. Wood Elf now gets Warsong and Sylvan gets Gaia’s Blessing.
  • New Faction: Artillery (Empire)
    • Cannot build homes.
    • -50% max population.
    • Bombardier: 0/8 – 1000p.
    • Cannon: 1/0 – 500p, 1000r – no draftee, does not count as population, immortal, returns from battle after 11 ticks (1 tick reload before you can attack again), max 10 Cannons per 1 Bombardier.
    • Cannonball: 1/0 – 200r – no draftee, does not count as population, 100% casualties, +4 OP when paired with a Cannon, does 100 damage to enemy castle.
    • Burning Cannonball: 1/0 – 400r, 50m – no draftee, does not count as population, 100% casualties, +9 OP when paired with a Cannon, burns 1 peasant.
    • Spell: TBD, for now Miner’s Strength.
  • New Faction: Swarm (Commonwealth)
    • Cannot build.
    • +20 housing on barren.
    • -50% food consumption.
    • Immortal spies.
    • Draftee DP: 0.
    • Draftees produce 1 mana/tick.
    • Peasants produce 1 food/tick.
    • Scarab: 3/0 – 200p – +1 OP per 5% barren (max +2).
    • Burrower: 0/4 – 300p – immortal except vs. Swarm, produces 1.5 gems/tick.
    • Arachnid: 4/7 – 800p – +1 OP per 5% barren (max +2), immortal except vs. Swarm (on defense).
    • Naga: 5/3 – 600p – +1 OP per 2% barren (max +5), immortal except vs. Swarm (on defense).
    • Spell: Chitin – draftees get 1 DP, unaffected by Unholy Ghost.
