Round 89 Changes

Gameplay

  • We are still in the Second Age, with some minor advancements.
  • Morale gains from hitting Barbarians reduced by half.
  • Draftees as a default unit cost removed.
  • The source code now comes with a Docker container for easy deployment.

Alliances

  • New round mode: Factions (land target and fixed tick length variants), wherein realms are split by faction.
  • In faction rounds, realms can enter into alliances.
  • The governor of a realm can send an invitation for alliance to another realm’s governor. Realms without governors cannot enter into alliances.
  • Allied realms cannot take hostile actions against each other.
  • Allied dominions can perform friendly spells on each other.
  • Allied dominions cannot view Insight of each other.
  • Alliances can be broken by either ally’s governor after 192 ticks.
  • Breaking an alliance incurs a penalty of 25% * 1 - min([Tick Duration of Alliance]/1000, 1) prestige.
  • After breaking an alliance, there is a 50% * 1 - min([Ticks Since Break of Alliance]/192, 1) prestige bonus if invading former ally.
  • No, you cannot form an alliance with Barbarians.
