Round 56 Changes

General

  • Resources 2.0! — beta
    • We are now beta testing Resources 2.0. There is a high risk of resource-related bugs this round.
    • Resources have been decoupled from the Dominion class, same as Spells 2.0, Buildings 2.0, and Imps 2.0. This means it’ll be a walk in the park to add unique resources, which in turn can be used for all sorts of crazy antics.
    • A few notes:
      • While the default is that employed peasants produce 2.7 gold/tick, this has been changed for some factions:
        • Ants: 2.25 gold
        • Artillery: 2 gold, 0.35 ore
        • Dragon: 2.2 gold, 0.10 gems
        • Growth: 0.5 food (including unemployed peasants)
        • Lux: 2 gold, 0.10 mana
        • Marshling: 2.7 gold, 0.10 mana.
        • Myconid: 2 food (including unemployed peasants)
        • Sylvan: 0.01 lumber (including unemployed peasants)
        • Swarm: 2 gold (including unemployed peasants)
        • Void: 0.20 mana (including unemployed peasants)
      • Each faction is assigned a set of resources. By default, this is gold, food, lumber, ore, gems, and mana.
      • Resources shown on Status page, overview bar, and on Insight are dynamic and only shows the resources that are used by that faction. For example, Void only shows Mana.
  • Peasant burning, peasant eating, and draftee eating perks have been changed to scale with OP:DP ratio (max 1): [Damage] * (min([OP]/[DP], 1).
  • XP is no longer a resource; instead of being a re-skinned tech/research points, it’s its own thing now. Pure technical change, but it matters to me, dang it!
  • Daily land bonus now also yields 20 XP per acre.
  • Prestige gains from hitting Barbarians lowered from 1/3 of normal to 1/4 of normal.
  • Expeditions!
    • Send out units and gain 1 acre per [Land Size]^1.25 OP that you send.
    • Gain 25 XP per acre discovered.
    • Gain ([Land Discovered] / [Land Size]) * 200) prestige.
    • No casualties.
    • Units have ordinary return time.
    • Ammunition and immobile units and units with fixed casualties cannot be sent on expeditions.
    • Expeditions must discover at least 1 acre, meaning you can’t send less than the minimum OP to discover 1 acre.

Spells Totally revamped spell system. This makes it much easier to add new spells and create different features around spells.
