Round 59 Changes

General

  • Barbarian target DPA (and OPA) is now based on the Barbarian’s own number of ticks in the round, not the total round ticks. This means late-starting Barbs don’t suddenly jump to the DPA required for the time they join.
  • Barbarians now favour building Sheds slightly more (90% of all hills, up from 70%).

  • Artillery
    • Cannon changed from 0/4 for 500 gold, 500 ore, 100 lumber to 0/0, +4 DP if paired with a Bombardier, for 400 gold, 400 ore, 80 lumber.
    • Cannonball improvements damage changed from 50 to 25 raw improvement points.
    • Burning Cannonball peasants burn reduced from 1 to 0.333 per cannonball.
  • Barbarian
    • Pop bonus changed from +50% to +100%.

    • Phoenix changed from 0/7 for 1,000 gold to 0/8 for 1,100 gold.
  • Goblin
    • Pop growth changed from +25% to +100%.
    • Shaman changed from 0/3 for 350 gold, 20 ore to 0/4 for 425 gold, 10 lumber.
    • Warmonger changed from 2/3 for 600 gold, 65 ore to 3/4 for 800 gold, 100 ore.
  • Gnome
    • Oreguard changed from 0/6 for 50 gold, 300 ore to 0/8 for 100 gold, 350 ore.
    • Automaton starts with 2 DP.
    • Juggernaut starts with 2 OP and 1 DP.
  • Nomad
    • Returns!
    • Loses production from unemployed peasants.
    • Mana production from swamp changed from 20 to 7 per tick.
    • Food production from water raw changed to +1% food production per 1%.
  • Spirit
    • Wisp changed to 4/3.
    • Apparition cost changed from 1,000 gold, 10 mana to 800 gold, 10 mana.
  • Vampire
    • Nobles changed from 6/6 to 7/7 and gains conversion of displaced peasants to Servants.
    • Ravagers also gains conversion of displaced peasants to Servants.
  • Yeti
    • Traits:
      • Wild yeti (peasants) produce 0.50 lumber and 0.65 ore per tick (employment not required).
      • 2 DP per draftee.
      • Cannot train wizards.
      • Cannot train archmages.
      • -50% construction costs.
    • Units:
      • Worker: 0/2 — 120 food, 20 ore, 10 lumber — produces 0.65 gems, 0.85 lumber, and 1.2 ore per tick, only dies vs units 4 OP/DP or greater.
      • Mutterer: 0/12 — 800 food, 100 ore, 25 lumber — counts as 1/2 wizard, only dies vs units 6 OP/DP or greater, immortal wizard.
      • Fighter: 12/10 — 440 food, 300 ore, 200 lumber — only dies vs units 6 OP/DP or greater,
      • Stonethrower: 0/8 — 860 food, 100 ore — gains +16 OP if paired with 150 ore (ore exhausted upon attack), only dies vs units 6 OP/DP or greater, immortal on victory.

Buildings

  • New — Gateway (Dimensionalists only): increases unit pairing by 3% per 1% (no max).
  • Gold Mine removed for Yeti.
  • New — Observatory (Dimensionalists only): reduces unit mana costs by 2% per 1% (max 30% reduction), and reduces training time by 2% per 1% (max 30% reduction).
  • New — Portal (Dimensionalists only): produces 0.10 Tl’Tl, 0.05 Sft’Rm, 0.05 Ze’Tk, and 0.02 Frs’Kl per tick, increased by (WPA/5)%.
  • Shed (Barbarian only) from 30 to 40 housing.
  • Smithy removed for Yeti.

Deities

  • New — Barathu Bint: +2.5% gold production, +5% better exchange rate, -5% ore production, -5% gem production.
  • Kinthys gains +2.5% DP and -2.5% XP generation.
  • New — Ix: +5% XP generation, +5% construction cost, +5% rezoning cost.
  • Mirnon food production changed from -5% to -20%.
  • Sazal gold production penalty removed.
