General
- Positive prestige gains for hitting abandoned dominions cut in half.
Factions
- Artillery:
- Instant return on all units.
- Gnome:
- Advancement level requirement for units changed from 8 to 6.
- Human:
- Man-at-Arms cost changed from 365 gold, 20 ore to 325 gold, 25 ore.
- Spearman changed from 0/7 to 0/7.5.
- Kerranad:
- Starts with 300,000 gems instead of starting imps.
- Improvement max perk removed.
- New improvements (see below).
- Assassins convert displaced peasants to spies. (This only applies to the portion of convertible enemy casualties attributable to Assassins.)
- Sylvan:
- Taking a one-round break.
- Troll:
- Magical Boots cost changed from 400 gold, 50 mana to 450 gold, 50 mana.
- Forest Troll cost changed from 900 gold, 80 lumber to 950 gold, 80 lumber.
- Mountain Troll cost changed from 2,000 gold, 500 ore to 2,150 gold, 500 ore.
- Wood Elf:
- Improvement max perk removed.
- New improvements (see below).

- Cartography: same as regular Cartography but with a higher maximum
- City Guard: increases defensive power
- Education: increases investment points when investing
- Espionage: same perks as regular Espionage with different maxes/coefficients
- Foundations: decreases construction time and decreases construction costs
- Housing: same perks as regular Housing with different maxes/coefficients
- Leadership: increases title perk
- Logging: same as regular Logging with different max/coefficient
- Market: increases gold production, better exchange rates
- Medicine: same perks as regular Medicine with different maxes/coefficients
- Readiness: decreases training time
- Science: reduces cost of advancements
- Stonecutting: same as regular Stonecutting with different max/coefficient
- Warfare: increases offensive power and prestige gains
- Wizardry: same perks as regular Wizardry with different maxes/coefficients
- Wood Elf line-up:
- In general, these improvements have twice the maxes of regular improvements but with 25% higher coefficients.
- Apprenticeship: decreases unit gold and lumber costs
- Camouflage: increases defensive power, decreases defensive casualties
- Cartography: same as regular Cartography but with a higher maximum
- Construction: same as regular construction but with a higher maximum
- Espionage: same as regular Espionage but with a higher maximum
- Fencing: increases offensive power, decreases offensive casualties
- Foraging: increases food production
- Forestry: unchanged from last round
- Housing: same perks as regular Housing with different maxes/coefficients
- Leadership: increases title perk
- Tutoring: increases XP generation
- Wizardry: same as regular Wizardry with its a higher maximum
